Size guide

Pakistani ready-to-wear sizing does not translate neatly into US dress sizes, and the same label can fit very differently from one cut to the next. Rather than ask you to trust a letter on a tag, we publish the actual garment measurements on every product page. Please buy from those numbers.

How we measure

Our measurements are taken from the garment laid flat, not from the body. Chest is measured straight across the shirt from underarm to underarm; double that figure to get the full chest circumference. Length is taken from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem.

How to measure yourself

  • Chest. Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level and comfortably loose.
  • Waist. Measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso.
  • Hips. Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
  • Length. Measure from the top of your shoulder down to where you would like the shirt to finish.

Compare your chest measurement against the garment’s full chest measurement and allow at least two to four inches of ease for a comfortable fit, more if you prefer a relaxed drape.

A worked example

Our Boski Linen A-Line Frock Co-ord Set is cut deliberately oversized, and its flat chest measurements are:

  • Small — 19″ to 20″ flat (38″ to 40″ full chest)
  • Medium — 21″ to 22″ flat (42″ to 44″ full chest)
  • Large — 23″ to 24″ flat (46″ to 48″ full chest)
  • XL — 24″ to 25″ flat (48″ to 50″ full chest)

Total length on that style is 44″ to 45″. Other styles will differ, which is exactly why we list them individually.

Unstitched fabric

Unstitched suits are sold by the piece rather than by size, and the fabric lengths supplied are listed on the product page. If you are taller than average or want a fuller flare, please check those lengths with your tailor before ordering.
